Client’s Goals
To keep the integrity of the exterior of the home with the addition while also tying into the existing aesthetics of the home and adding some transitional elements and materials to pull it all together.
For the interior, the client wanted to marry the existing home with the addition by keeping the trim items similar and having the same type of slat flooring installed throughout the addition.
Points of Interest
- The stone work on the addition ties in beautifully with the front
- The trim and millwork throughout the addition
- We tied in the new windows with the existing by adding the grills to the top windowpane
- The kitchen combines the look of a more traditional feel with wood grain cabinets for the island and coffee bar, while the perimeter cabinets are contemporary, but by keeping the counter and backsplash the same, it seamlessly ties in the entire space
